I grew up with three big brothers in a house that was always full of food, friends, and laughter. Our home was known in the neighborhood for having a smorgasbord of snacks, and from an early age, I learned how much joy food can bring to people.

When I went off to college, my mom’s love for feeding others came right along with me. I was always the one bringing homemade treats to class or work, and every week I hosted “Sunday Night Dinner” for my friends — a tradition that kept us all connected over good food and great company.

After college, I spent 12 years working as an Aquatics Director and Food & Beverage Manager at an elite private country club, where I mastered the art of catering, presentation, and creating memorable experiences. When I became a mom, I “retired” to stay home with my girls — but my love for feeding people never stopped. I became known at the pool as “the mom with snacks” and “the friend who throws amazing parties.”

Board In Birmingham was truly years in the making. While my college friends worried about the keg, I was arranging the cheese and crackers! Today, that same passion for beautiful, delicious gatherings has grown into a full-fledged business — a place where Birmingham locals can enjoy handcrafted charcuterie boards, curated wine pairings, and custom catering for any occasion.

My husband Doug has been my biggest cheerleader, always reminding me, “You’re too good at this to fail.” And my daughters — Callie and our surprise twins — are the heart behind everything I do.
